
Dr. Luis Sánchez-López is Visiting Assistant Professor of Chicanx and Latinx Studies at Loyola Marymount University.
Dr. Sánchez López is a Zapotec scholar who was born in Tlacolula, Oaxaca. He earned a Ph.D. in Latin American History at the University of California, San Diego. He is a member of the Critical Latinx Indigeneities Working Group and co-founder of the Oaxacan College Initiative, a community-based project in Los Angeles, California that aims to increase the number of Indigenous Oaxacan students in college.
